Taking A Hard Look

It was an honor and pleasure helping creator and producer, Vanessa McNeal, on her 2019 project, Gridshock: A Film About Sex Trafficking In Iowa. As we dove into the conceptual character of the documentary, we discovered one of the essential aspects that make central Iowa such a hot-spot for sex trafficking: the 80/35 interstate connection. We seized what this could offer visually and developed an approach to the look and feel of the promotions that reciprocated the story's cadence. The subject matter is not for the faint-of-heart...why play it down? Thankfully, the client agreed, and so did her audience.
